The Greek word kērussō appears in the New Testament 61 times and is translated as "preach" or "proclaim" in the English Bible. It means "to herald (as a public crier), especially the Divine Truth (the Gospel). Kērussō is used to describe the public proclamation of the Christian message by John the Baptist, Jesus, the apostles, and other Christian teachers. For example, in Matthew 4:17, Jesus begins his ministry by proclaiming, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand". The word kērussō conveys a sense of formality, gravity, and authority that must be listened to and obeyed. Our family is a recipient of God's grace saving us from the kingdom of darkness transferring us into the kingdom of His beloved Son. We go for His glory, preach for His glory, and die for His glory. For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
